‘Pureheart’ is the fourth in a series of covers that I have illustrated for Cassandra Golds / Penguin Books, the first being ‘Clair de Lune’ back in 2004. I tried to express the labyrinthine storyline without giving too much away (and when viewed from a distance the various architectural features echo the shape of a heart). It was also a good opportunity to play around with a bit of type again, with a lighthearted interpretation of an Arthurian / Medieval style script to reflect the origins of the story.
