Staying Young and the Ageing process
I have worked with magazine designers and editors for the majority of my career as an illustrator, so it has certainly been ‘interesting’ over the past few years as more and more publishers consolidate, go online, and cut costs in their Art Departments. I still have a few faithful trade publications I work with, but I have sensed a real change in the industry.
Nevertheless, I still love editorial opportunities when they arise, particularly the challenge of grappling subjects as diverse as the ‘DNA of Rye’ to ‘Witness Protection schemes’.
