The recent press coverage exposing the true fate of race horses in Australia was unfortunately not so much of a shock but more of a reminder of how cruel the racing industry is. On top of this is the ugly human spectacle of what passes for sophistication, Flemington style. This is my ode to the Spring Carnival – feel free to download and print the pdf and stick it on the dunny wall at work as a bit of a passive aggressive protest against the office sweepstakes.
